The Animal Crossing Book tag

Hi! As some of you may or may not know, I am very obsessed with the game series Animal Crossing. I've played New Leaf for a long time and more recently I've been playing New Horizons so when I found this tag by Angharad & Becky from The Two Book Thieves I knew i had to do it! Enjoy!

Past villager - Who is a character you found when you were younger that you still have an attachment to?

I have such a strong bond to some of Jaquline Wilson's characters. Jayni from Lola Rose and Andy from The Suitcase Kid stick out to me in particular.

Blathers Blatherings - Recommend a historical fiction book you think everyone should read

Things a Bright Girl Can Do by Sally Nicholls is one of my favourite books ever! It's set in London across the 1910's and is about three girls whoes lives are entwined by the fight for womens sufferage. Also, as her biggest fangirl, I am obliged to also say any book by Emma Carroll will be abseloutley thrilling for anyone.

Celeste’s Wish - What is a future book release you wish you could read now?

I want a copy of Heartstopper (Volume 4) by Alice Oseman to just magically fall down from the sky right now.

Timmy & Tommy - What is your favourite sibling relationship in a book?

Even though they are not biologically related and one of them is dead before the book starts, James Potter and Sirius Black were basically brothers so I'm saying them.

The Easter Bunny - Who is your least favourite fictional character?

I really hate Rose from Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and I have no idea why 🤷

Nook Loans - Which author would you give all your money to?

I'd give all my money to any of my favourite authors if they let me have previews of all their books!

The Sister Able - What is your favourite fictional family?
If I didn't say the Weasley, who would I be?

It's a C+ - What fictional trope do you hate that keeps popping up?

This is a new-founded hatred of mine but I really hate the bury-your-gays trope. WHY CAN'T LGBT+ CHARACTERS JUST HAVE HAPPINESS?!?!

The Wandering Camel - What is your favourite book set in a land far away from yours?
I never actually finished this book but Trash by Andy Mulligan is set in the Philippines and is so gripping and full of mystery.

What would Dodo's do - What fictional land would you fly away to at any moment?
Byron's castle from Bloodlust & Bonnets, it's so magical!

Thanks for reading!
